US troops leave Aussie for dead in Iraq, and i thought we were on the same team!!!

AN Australian private security operator was left for dead by American forces after he was seriously wounded during an ambush in southern Iraq.
The US refused to provide a helicopter to evacuate the wounded man after being told he was Australian, News Limited reports.The Queensland man, who suffered severe leg and abdominal injuries, was delivered to Basra air base by a British road convoy more than seven hours after the attack.The June 25 attack near the town of Al Zubair, 15km southwest of Basra, was carried out by at least six gunmen and involved roadside bombs, small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades.Two Toyota Landcruisers were destroyed in the attack.Three of the man's Iraqi colleagues, including an Iraqi interpreter, died in the attack.The security operator underwent surgery at a British military hospital and was later evacuated out of Iraq.He remains in the region in a serious but stable condition. Should we be surprised though, Americans only care about Americans, and thats NOT even all the time

Unwanted granny thrown on garbage dump

What a crazy world we live when family members can just get dumped out with the garbage, now the elderly in the west should be very grateful, that they even have a place to go when they get kicked out, but in other lesser off countries, if your family dont want ya anymore you get the boot and theres no where for you to go or any one to take care of you, so just like what happened in India, you better keep ya mouth shut before your kids throw you out into the garbage

Now I'm not female, i thought i would state that first but back were i'm from we are told it shouldnt be undertaken until after a girl/women is 16 or 18 because of physical development issues with the legs, back and muscles involved. Apparently these shoes are not very good at all for the body, but in this country they have them start young, ive seen parents buy high heels for 2 and 3 year old daughters now is this just ridiculous or what ???

A bomb disposal officer wounded in a costly explosion in Yala on Tuesday morning has died at a hospital from injuries.
Sen Sgt Maj Subin Prutmongkol, whose legs and arms were ripped off from the blast, died after an operation to try to save his life.The bomb disposal unit went to a busy railway station to defuse a bomb hidden in the front basket of a motorcycle. But it was a ruse to draw people to the scene, and insurgents touched off a more powerful bomb after a crowd had gathered.The deadly bomb was hidden inside the same motorcycle and it was triggered by remote control, probably a cell phone.The second bomb wounded 18 people, including four local reporters and seven policemen. The reporters were from TV Channels 3, 7, ITV and a local newspaper.In a second violent incident on Tuesday, a Muslim man was shot dead by two militants at a tea room in Yaha district. Witnesses told police that the attackers arrived on a motorcycle, and shot him with a handgun.Meanwhile, another Muslim man was shot dead in a drive-by shooting in the same province.

BANGKOK – Mark Viduka scored twice in the final 10 minutes to seal a 4-0 win for Australia over Thailand and earn the Socceroos a place in the quarter-finals of the AFC Asian Cup.
The result flattered Graham Arnold's team after Thailand dominated the second half and had the chances to pull level after Michael Beauchamp had given the Australians the lead with a 21st minute header.
But it was Australia's aerial prowess that won them the game with Viduka holding off the Thai defence to score the goal that effectively won the game 10 minutes from time before sealing the result with a header three minutes later.
Harry Kewell then completed the win when he slotted past Kosin Hathairatanakul in injury time.
Graham Arnold made four changes from the team that lost 3-1 to Iraq, with Kewell axed along with Patrick Kisnorbo and Brett Holman while Lucas Neill missed the game due to suspension.
As a result, Beauchamp and John Aloisi started, as did Sydney FC duo Mark Milligan and David Carney, and the Australians looked the better for the changes.
With the rain falling incessantly throughout the first 45 minutes, the Socceroos started the game at a higher tempo than they have in their previous two games and they dominated the early stages of the game.
It took the Australians 21 minutes to put themselves on the scoreboard when Luke Wilkshire sent his free kick into the Thai penalty area and Beauchamp was left unmarked to head past Kosin.
Suchao Nutnum could have responded just two minutes later for the Thais only for his long-range shot to fly straight at Mark Schwarzer while moments later Suree Sukha sent in a searing low cross that Kiatisuk Senamuang only just failed to direct into the Australian goal.
Needing a draw to progress to the knockout phase, the Thais pushed for the equaliser and dominated the second period, although Wilkshire went close to adding a second just seconds after the restart.
Suree continued to cause problems down the right for Thailand while Tawan Sripan and Kiatisuk worked tirelessly in attack, and it was the former Hudderfield Town man who set up substitute Pipat Thonkanya with a back-heel into the area, only for Pipat to shoot straight at Schwarzer.
Kewell came off the bench and headed over the bar in the 68th minute before another long range effort from Suchao blistered the paint of Schwarzer's left post. Datsakorn Thonglao tried his luck from distance soon after, only for the Middlesbrough goalkeeper to hold onto the shot.
With 10 minutes remaining and with the Thais pushing hard for the equaliser, Viduka killed off the game.
His first came when Tim Cahill sent in his cross from the left and Viduka controlled the ball on his chest before holding off the Thai defence and firing past Kosin.
Three minutes later Cahill and Viduka linked up again, with the Everton man crossing from the left this time to allow the powerfully built striker to head home.
And Kewell completed the scoring right at the end when he ran in unopposed on Kosin before sliding the ball to the right of the keeper.

How can Thailand or any country improve when everyone passes

Nothing will get better in Thailand until there are large sweeping reforms throu the education system and politics. As a teacher in this country we are told that you can NOT fail any students, so whats the point of people turning up to class if they are going to pass any way. No country can ever improve when people dont learn, to be honest I certainly wouldnt study if I knew I was going to get my degree any way. What a joke of a system, its just fun to go along for the ride, when really it doesnt matter what we do, cause everybody will pass any way. Some people are going to have face some truth soon, and realize that for a country to improve its economic social status, and decrease poverty, sickness and the standard of living, some people are going to have to fail, and some people are actually going to have to do some work!!!

A giant squid has had enough of living in the darkness and has decided to follow the light, hallelujah. I love when these stories come up because there is still so much that we dont even know about our own world, while so many people are obssessed with other things outside, but i guess ya dont want all your eggs in the one basket if ya get what i mean. But this well known but very very ellusive creature is rarely seen alive and even more rarley captured, so each time one washes up I'm sure scientists start creaming their pants. Now one has decided to treat us with his/her presence, a squid washed up dead on Tasmania's west coast (thats in Australia if you dont know) is one of the biggest ever found, weighing in at 250 kilograms, with a cross-section as big as a truck tyre and longer than a station wagon. Scientists, who see it as an exciting and intriguing discovery, will today take DNA and tissue samples from the sea monster
According to one individual, "It is a whopper,'' Ms Walker-Smith said while en route to the scene today. "The main mantle of the squid is about one metre across and its total length is about eight metres."

Now i know the police, and the government loves these days where they actually show what all their time and the tax payers money is going towards. The police confiscated 5,000,000 pills estimated to be worth about 350,000,000 dollars AU. Now it seems to me that these drugs must be getting more and more popular, What do you think??? The real question is why??? What is lacking in our society that so many people fall for the trap??? now I've tried a few drugs from cigarettes and up, but never have I felt the urge to use them so often, thou billions of people around the world are addicted to one drug or another. Its just seems funny to me that the two most dangerous and most widely used, generate larges amounts of money for governments??? Is it just me or what ???

Now I should provide a disclaimer right off the bat here, apparently it was just a joke, said by Mr Daniel from silverchair on the radio. But who realy cares if these three had a joint. Its not a matter of national security, and how many rockers past and present have had a joint, I mean how many people in the world have had a toke on the old scuuuuuuuuuube, its not illegal everywhere, someplaces allow it freely in bars, so why is it that every time some celebrity lets it slip that they actually had a drag is all of a sudden throw into the spot light and presented as a criminal, now drugs have the potential for good and bad, dependnig upon the hands it which they fall. Now if your staying at home everyday just sucking down the smoke then obviously its going to have some mental and physical effects. But if its a one off occasion a few times a year ha ha ha, then its by no means more harmful than walking down any street in your neighbourhood. Now Mr Garret is a well know ex-rocker turned politician, but at least this guy has enough balls to stand up for what he believes, and if he wants to have a bud every now and then, my opinion of him is certainly not going to fall. Maybe someone should give George Bush, and John Howard a few Kilograms and see how the world would change then?????? Now that I would watch on Fox news.

I wonder if once ur a politician, ur always a politician, now the booted out ex PM of Thailand, Mr Thaksin Shinawatra, claimed that months ago he wanted nothing more to do with polictics in Thailand, yet he cant keep his big square face out of the media, either personally appearing, or throu statements delivered by his lawyer, even thous he's been ordered back by the police to face charges concerning land illegally purchased, I just wish he would leave this already struggling country alone, so that maybe it can pick up the pieces and some how have a country inwhich the politics some what resembles democracy.

Never have I seen a character so openly tear apart and leave for everyone to see the truth about ones society and culture, and really show the ignorance and arrogance that people still harbour for no reason what so ever. We have a long long way to go for any to assume that we are "better" than any animals out there, but I'm glad to be along for the ride cause I know you wont listen to me, and to be honest why should you??? Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.
But 100 years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.
In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men - yes, black men as well as white men - would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check that has come back marked "insufficient funds."
But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and security of justice. We have also come to his hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.
It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end but a beginning. Those who hoped that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.
But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone.
And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their selfhood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating "for whites only." We cannot be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no we are not satisfied and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.
I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow jail cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.
Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.
Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today my friends - so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true. And so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.
Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado. Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.
But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.
Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.
Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi - from every mountainside.
Let freedom ring. And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring - when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children - black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics - will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: "Free at last! If you really wanna know if its love then take the test (even i failed but thats no surprise)

The only way to find out if its love without actually doing anything, is to just imagine whether you would feel any animosity or anger/hatred or even fear if the person you loved died (if you believe in God) of if they ran off with your best friend and got married and had babies, if any of those feelings come up, THEN IT AINT LOVE!!! caring about some one no matter what they do or where they go, and only wishing the best for them and that will find happiness, even if that doesnt include you.

From the moment you stop growing, is the moment you starting dying, now that works on two levels, physical and mental. Physically because the body is loosing its ability to replicate cells exactly the same as before which is why we get old in the first place, because each time a cell dies and is replaced it is replaced by a new one in exactly the same form, WHEN WE ARE YOUNG, but then as we get to a certain age, cells loose that ability, so what ever delusions you have about a long and healthy life are just sweet dreams you will never taste. The sooner you wake up to the fact that this body is not perfect, but only a vehicle for the journey, that comes with no guarantee, or warranty, the better, you need to start facing the fact that in weeks or years your body will fail. AND YOU THINK YOUR IN CONTROL HA HA HA, but I cant help but feel sorry for those who will find it hard to let go.

John Howard is definitely not seeing the pearly gates if he is unable to say sorry before, (well hopefully any way) he's booted out, not that it really concerns me cause I've already left. But If there is a God and he has a plan for every one, and he is in control, why would a christian need any fear at all? All you have to do is follow is sons words, repent on the mistakes you made along the way and Bobs ya angel, your in paradise. If there is an omnipresent being out there in control of the universe what is there to fear, unless you lack faith or you have doubts, the only reason you would cry when you die or have fear is because your afraid your not gonna see the "white" dude or you doubt there will be one, or you know your in for a date with the red dude, what could there possibly be to fear or cry about. And if your friend dies and your crying all your doing is thinking about your own needs, that your gonna miss that person or cant see them any more, but hey I guess thats more important than your friend being in heaven thou isnt. Thou I shouldnt just have a go at christians, there are quite a few religions out there that follow the same train of thought, is it just human weakness??? Are we taught to suffer by those around us??? I mean how many eating disorders are there out there because people feel pressured to look a certain way. How many people commit suicide each day because they feel they cant cut it in society/family. If you follow the rules that were laid down, have complete faith, what could there possibly be to fear ???You die = HEAVEN

Your family die = HEAVEN

You would think christians would have the biggest party at funerals !!!

I mean your freind is off to heaven, finally getting a chance to meet the big guy up stairs, and ask what the hell where all suppossed to be doing down here. If I knew my friends were going throu the big pearly gates I'd be throwing a party like it was 1999, or should that be 2999, I mean what a glorious thing it would be to be finally going to heaven, no more pain, being able to talk with every one up there and living in paradise, wouldnt that be something to be happy about, shouldnt you be wishing your friends all the best??? or does it have to do more with your own selfish needs of missing that person, I mean just as well as he's got that suicide clause in there??? or could it also be that you know that your freinds are gonna burn in hell, that now........... thats something I would be crying about.


What purpose does your life have???

Do you even have a purpose, or are you waiting for some one to tell you what it is, do you live just for yourself? Do you spend your days just working mindlessly in a boring job with no goals, other than for your own personal gain ? Or are you just going throu the motions, following what people want and expect of you ? Are you just lost and confused ? Or are just so afraid that you dont even wish to think about life ? How can anything be random, all thoughts rely upon a preceding thought, the mind is not random, especially when everything in this world relies upon a birth and death, nothing can arise from nothing, the body needs materials to generate it self, trees need materials to generate themselves, so how can any blog be random, when something had to have added fuel to generate such a thought, worlds explode creating new worlds, birth, destruction and death, this is the cycle of all things, a thought arises and gives way to another thought, NOTHING IS RANDOM, OR IS IT ???

A great quote from Tyler durden, now i agree with this in part, i think physical "Self-improvement is masturbation", but we should all strive for spiritual improvement, as Tyler said we have no great war, our war is the spiritual war, as never has the West been so infected with eastern ideas and philosphies, and vice versa, never has the East been so influenced by meaningless western ideals of capatalism. I feel that in a hundred years or so very few languages will exist and cultures will be wiped out, with probably on the top four or five languages being able to ride this "evolution" out, our world is getting smaller and as it does we will all have to learn how to get a long with each other, regardless of race, money, religion or any other form of judgement you can think of, so lets just learn to love, and stop hating, because you dont understand, your afraid, or just jealous of some one else. Please....................

Another thing I'm tiring of (ha ha ha), is people blaming me for not communicating, why didnt u say hello?, why didnt u write?, why didnt you email?Blah blah blah, well I dont see u doing it, yet of course its always my fault, to be honest I just dont care anymore, if u say hello or write I will always reply, but I've never gotten upset cause some one walked past and didnt say hello, or they didnt write.
