Loving-kindness is used as an English equivalent for the Buddhist term Mettā, Mettā is a term from Pali which includes, loving-kindness, friendliness, benevolence, amity, friendship, good will, and kindness to oneself and to all beings. In the Buddhist tradition, this practice begins with the meditator cultivating loving-kindness towards themselves, then their loved ones, friends, teachers, strangers, enemies, and finally towards all sentient beings. It is a very powerful experience, that when you begin this meditation technique your life will slowly change, as the change within you effects not only yourself internally but your external environment as well. Your stress will radically decrease, and your relationships with people will grow stronger and deeper as you begin to realize the true value of the people in your life
